Dear City Council,

I am travelling and wonít be able to attend the housing study session tonight.

I want to convey my support for prioritizing action towards more housing, sooner rather than later. I support housing at all levels of affordability, especially downtown, near transit. Letís not wait for the next housing element to take action to meet our housing goals! Low-income affordability should be a priority for downtown, both because it will provide equitable opportunity to our residents and because it will have a lower impact on traffic to create homes for low-income residents in our transit-accessible downtown neighborhood.

We must comply with new state laws regarding second unit development and I support investing in outreach and other streamlining to support implementation.

I look forward to watching the presentation and discussion online!
