Dear Menlo Park City Council,

Greystar has engaged Hexagon to help understand the Transportation Impact Fee Nexus Study and Program. Hexagon has two comments that would further support transportation goals and Menlo Park's goals:

  1. In an effort to reduce traffic and congestion the Program should encourage trip reductions by allowing a reduction in trip impact fees by a proportional amount.
  2. Retail and restaurant TIF are too high and will provide further disincentive to develop these uses which are already a development strain. Hexagon suggests reducing retail and restaurant fees to incentivize these uses.

Thank you for taking these expert comments into consideration.

Andrew
