City council members and planning commissioners,

Please take the necessary steps to keep Feldman's Books in Menlo Park. You have the chance to ensure Menlo Park stays special and keeps some "cool stuff" in the downtown area.

I grew up in a town that lacked a stable, active "downtown", where residents were resigned to living among drive-thru fast food places and bland shopping centers. A town with a dull / struggling downtown is lame and not fun.

Physical book stores are a unique gathering place for information. The owners offer a safe place for shoppers to wander and browse undisturbed or rushed. The staff provide face-to-face services:

    - Offer thematic, timely books that relate to our world...politics, activism, healthy living.
  - Give advice on buying "that perfect book" for a loved one.
  - Support local students looking for "summer reading" books.

Again, please do your part to keep Feldman's Books.
