Dear City Council Members,
I know you are gathering tonight to vote on budget priorities for 2008-2009. I'm writing to let you know that your decision won't make a difference for me. As of this week, my house in the Willows is on the market. My wife and I have loved living in this house and remodeling it for the past 5 years. We are sad to go and especially sad to leave behind great friends and neighbors. However, as our children grow we've come to the realization that O'keefe street is simply not were we want to live. The main reason (by far) is the through traffic.
So as you contemplate your decision for tonight, don't take us into account. Our house will sell and new unassuming tenants will move in. However, if they have children and care for them like we do for ours I have a good feeling you will get more concerned emails from them in the future. The issue of through traffic won't go away until we take the first step and analyze it's nature. It's a small step, but I plead with you on behalf of future Menlo Park residents to take this step tonight.
Thanks for representing the concerned parents of the Willows,
Ilan Received on Tue Apr 1 12:50:21 2008
