Minimum Wage for ALL

From: domainremoved <Karen>

Hello,

I’m glad to see the minimum wage ordinance on the agenda today.

I urge you to adopt the ordinance with the current definition of employee – anyone who works at least TWO hours a week – and reject staff’s recommendation for a ten hour per week cutoff. Setting the cutoff at 10 hours per week creates an incentive to reduce workers’ hours to below 10 hours per week. With housing costs to high, many full time workers take on part time work, and regardless of the number of hours they work, they should earn our minimum wage.
