2008-09 Capital and Study Project Priorities-Willows Traffic Study

Dear Members of the Menlo Park City Council-

I am unable to attend tonight's City Council meeting, but wanted to express my support once again for including the Willow's Traffic Study as a priority item to be included in the City's 2008-09 budget. I have articulated my support at previous Traffic Commission and City Council meetings-that it is my belief that a study could put factual meat on the varying types of anecdotal evidence and concerns that members of the community have presented regarding traffic patterns, safety, crime, etc, and allow the City Council and members of the community a) to understand whether there is factual data to substantiate these concerns, and b) if such factual data exists, to attempt to address these concerns in a concerted, thoughtful fashion and not in an ad-hoc manner.

I thank you for your consideration of this issue.
