Reach Codes

Honorable Mayor Mueller and City Council Members,

I'm writing to you as a Menlo Park resident, mother, President of 350
Silicon Valley, and citizen.

I think we all understand now the direness of the climate crisis we are in.

Each time I write to you, I try to impress upon you that it is imperative
we take every measure within our power to mitigate the threat of climate
disaster.

You have a lot of power.

The rubber meets the road here at the local level, where you actually set
the policy for what kind of energy we will use. You decide if we will burn
more fossil fuel or not.

The oil companies don't control this decision, the Koch brothers can't
undermine your abily to take action.

*You can represent the will and best interests of the public.*

Please don't lose this opportunity to pass reach codes; *the decision you
make here will continue to resound for the life of these buildings, and
influence the communities all around us.*

We thank you for your action.

Nicole
