Supporting Bike Lanes on Chrysler Drive and Jefferson Drive

Dear Mayor and Council Members,

The addition of bike lanes and removal of parking on Chrysler Drive and
Jefferson Drive would be a huge safety improvement for students, residents
and commuters.

The bike lanes would support city goals for active and healthy communities
and reducing congestion by encouraging multi-modal transportation.

As someone who has commuted by bike to the east side of Menlo Park for over
19 years I can attest that the addition of bike lanes will substantially
improve the safety and comfort of people biking to school and work through
this area. The opening of Tidewater High School makes completing these
important segments of the bike network even more critical.

I urge you to adopt and implement Resolution No. 6518.

Terry Barton
