Honorable Mayor and City Council,
Please require modification of the external design of this project so
it is more in keeping with the Allied Arts residential neighborhood
to which it is adjacent. Harvard is a quiet residential street in a
neighborhood besieged with cut-through traffic that will only increase
with major El Camino projects under construction.

A more traditional design can serve to remind visitors and drivers
that they are in a residential community.
Instead, the proposed design looks more like a commercial building
that belongs in an office park.

There are examples of more suitable design nearby, such as the former
Oasis and Menlo-Atherton glass company and, in the next block on El
Camino between Partridge and College, a residential development.
Please look at these and reexamine the proposed design, and then
require a modification. .

A design that communicates a residential character would be far more
fitting for a new project adjacent to a neighborhood of homes and

Respectfully submitted,
Patti Fry
