Honorable Mayor Mueller and Council Members:
I can't believe that a LOCAL government agency is giving nearly 50% of their annual operating budget to an outgoing employee, that is $875,000 from an approx. $2,000,000 annual budget. This is being paid by a Sanitary organization representing the City of MENLO PARK, as well as your neighboring cities.
Can you look into this?  How does one man, who no longer works for them, be entitled to such a large sum of money?  Equally, what can be done to prevent this massive payment going out to others, which potentially could bankrupt their organization?
I know you are busy; yet, what is being done here is WRONG.  Citizens do not pay taxes nor do rate payers pay utility companies to allocate them in this way. Think of all the needed projects that may have to wait, so that the man receiving this huge payment can live in luxury, at our expense. Certainly with your contacts, this matter can be looked into further and with any luck, justice can be served.  At a minimium, the public serves a better explanation.
