Dear Coucil Members
I am writing to encourage you to take action in approving the Willows Traffic Study. The Willows is filled with young families with children, pedestrians and cyclists. We need our streets and neighborhood safe. The study would allow us to determine if and what are the traffic issues, and provide recommendations that are meant to enhance the quality of life for the entire neighborhood. It is critical we take action now before future developments around the Willows impacts our traffic further.
Furthermore, we have recently experienced a significant increase in home burglaries/break-ins/thefts, to a point where I no longer feel that this is the same safe neighborhood that it used to be. It is sad that I now have to worry about parking my car in our driveway because somebody might come at night and steal my catalitic converter, as it has happened to other residents in the area. Or that I have to put locks around all of our side gates because thiefs have been breaking in from home backyards. I hope that the Willows Traffic Study will also help us gather more data to better understand how we can make our neighborhood safe again.
Thank you for your consideration.
