Willows Traffic Study - Budget Priority

Dear Council Members -

I am writing in support of the Willows Traffic Study being adopted as a budget priority for the coming fiscal year - July 08-09.

As the mother of two young children who spend substantial time riding their bikes on our streets, and as a resident of the neighborhood, I would like information to be gathered about the speed, volume, time of day and exit/entry points of traffic. We need first to determine if there is, indeed, a problem/s, before we start discussing how to address it/them. A traffic study, properly executed, will give us this data and provide a starting point for our neighborhood to make choices about our quality of life.

So many of us are raising young families here, at a time when it seems as if traffic speed and volume have increased substantially. I would like to address this issue before a tragedy occurs, not after.

Please support our need for a traffic study at this time.

Sincerely,

Marcia Bever
