Seeking Clarification and Simplification

I attended the ConnectMenlo study session on March 26, 2019 and am very
confused by what I heard. Several times during the exchanges between
council members and city staff there were references about ‘bonus’ and
above plan development proposals and concerns raised by Belle Haven
residents about the lack of amenities being implemented based on projects
currently underway or already identified there is a clear disconnect
between what the community thought was going to be done and what seems to
actually be committed.

Can you provide a clear definition of the thresholds for the bonus
development and which of the projects that have been proposed (e.g., the 10
projects listed in attachment C of staff report 19-053-CC) are required to
provide community amenities? If I understand what was being presented, only
the Willow Village project addresses any commitment to develop amenities.
Tables 1 and 2 in 19-053-CC do not make it readily apparent how much worse
it will get for Belle Haven for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for your consideration.
