Dear Mayor Mueller, Vice Mayor Taylor and Members of the City Council,
I am writing to urge your to include as a goal of the TMP to Manage traffic congestion to reduce travel time on city streets and minimize cut-through traffic on neighborhood streets.  As a member of the TMP,, I've been frustrated that "traffic congestion management/relief" has not been a stated goal, though many of us have called for its conclusion.  As a 26 year Willows Neighborhood resident, I have witnessed increased cut-through traffic in the neighborhood.  While the goals of the TMP are noble and contribute to traffic relief, I don't believe that they adequately traffic congestion.  When I joined the TMP, I thought that the intent of the plan was to lay-out an infrastructure plan to reflect investments to match the amount of development slated for Menlo Park, and especially east of Highway 101.
Thank you for your consideration,
Katherine Strehl
