Dear Councilmembers,
I am neither a renter nor a landlord. I am just a lifelong resident of MP.
A city that has a long term pension liability, potholed roads and a lot of
other pressing problems does not need to get into the rent regulation
business. As one of you has said, it will affect few people, and, it will
have unintended consequences as does so many attempts at social engineering
and there will be workarounds and abuses. Eventually, you will wish you
never started this program.
And we certainly do not need more employees and bureacracy and pension
obligations for the City of MP.
Vote no. and don't hire consultants to review the project.
