Sharon Road Sidwalks

Dear Council -

The purpose of this email is to encourage the City to install sidewalks on
Sharon Road. Our three grandchildren currently walk along the edge of
Sharon to and from La Entrada School every day. The fact there are no
sidewalks is an outrage! As new residents of the City we were shocked to
learn that in the year 2019 Menlo Park’s school children are required to
deal with such unsafe conditions in the midst of so many multi-million
dollar homes. It’s insane and an embarrassment. Surely the property taxes
we pay must be sufficient to cover the cost of sidewalks. While the safety
of our grandchildren is our greatest concern, the addition of sidewalks
would also be a great benefit to those of us who are forced to rely on
wheelchairs to get around the neighborhood.

Thank you for your attention to our concerns.
