Sharon Park Sidewalks

Dear Menlo Park City Council,

I am a school board member for the Las Lomitas Elementary School District,
and also a parent in our district. I am writing to stress the importance
to our community of prioritizing sidewalks on Sharon Road, near La Entrada
School.

This short stretch of road is a major route for our students who walk to
school, and it is currently very unsafe for pedestrians without a
sidewalk. The combination of small, elementary- and middle-school aged
students (La Entrada is a Grade 4-8 school) walking on a street with
significant vehicle traffic, but no sidewalk, is an accident waiting to
happen.

Please prioritize this project for staff time to ensure that our students
are safe on their way to school.

Thank you for your consideration,
Dana MacLaurin Nunn
Governing Board Member
