Because you were not able to made decisions on time you gave bad landlords an opportunity to evict or vacate the exact kinds of tenants you wanted to protect. We may be made homeless any day now. I am also effective and I have few weeks left. I asked owner of our building for relocation assistance. Another tenant was offered it. I need at least at least 8 000 to vacate. I know others are in my situation too and think you should include a retroactive date for all renters. All people who were served with the paper to vacate after November 2018. By notifying the owner and by prolonging your decision many people are becoming homeless, losing their homes and displaced them. The fact is the owners greed to make more profit is making more people homeless. Continuing to allow owners to rent gouge we will lose teachers, home aids, sales people and it will have effect to community. What do you think city council can do? I do not have doubt that you made a quick. humankind and right decision you can be proud of and ASAP. Sincerely Winter
Also rent control is need it in Menlo Park.
