Bollards on Olive Street critical for our community's safety

Dear Public Works.
I am reaching out to you to show my STRONG support of the white bollards on
Olive Street, intersecting at Santa Cruz avenue (across from Hillview
school). Countless times in the past I have seen cars recklessly come to
an abrupt stop, a child hastily throws open a door to scramble out of the
car, then the driver speeds away. It is a dangerous activity, and I know
two people who have had broken bones as a result, not to mention numerous
"near misses".
It brings me great comfort to know that the city has taken this scary issue
seriously. These bollards prevent the cars from encroaching on the
sidewalk, and keep countless pedestrians and bicyclists out of harms way.
I implore you to keep this barrier, as it provides a safe avenue for
countless members of our community.
