Grade separation

Dear Mayor Mueller and City Councilmembers,

I’m writing to encourage grade separation at Ravenswood, Oak Grove, and Glenwood roads.

All three of these intersections are crucial connectors for our long and narrow city. Grade separation will reduce traffic jams -- both by enhancing east-west flow, and by promoting biking and walking (each crossing should be bike/ped friendly and safe), and facilitate car-light housing development on both sides of the railroad tracks.

Given the latest report on climate from the IPPC, we must do everything in our power to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, and this decision will have a huge and lasting impact on our city’s climate impact.
