Council Meeting Agenda Item H-1 - Marmona Traffic Calming

Dear Councilmembers,

In regards to tomorrow’s meeting about Marmona traffic calming measures, I am writing to oppose any speed humps on Baywood Avenue. Like most of our neighbors on Baywood, I feel that installation of speed humps would not only be ineffective ( they do not solve the volume issue) but because of the noise and environmental pollution which they cause, would also reduce the quality of life on our street.
The no left turn sign at the corner of Woodland and Baywood has greatly reduced the volume and speed of cars coming down our street and making these permanent would be a good solution. Making these signs permanent would not only be more cost effective but also more environmentally conscious.
Thank you for your consideration and all of your work so far on this important issue.

Best Regards,
Caroline Murugan
130 Baywood Avenue
