PG&E delays of new construction

I am not sure who to email about this issue, but we are building a new house in West Menlo Park. We are have extreme issues with PG&E delaying our project because of their inability to reconnect our gas in a timely manner, costing us +$10,000 to date. Essentially, we requested a reconnect at the same time we disconnected our gas and electric (back in the beginning of April) because we knew that they were scheduling 3-6 months out and paid them the engineering deposit because we would be able to be back in our house the end of August. My general contractor contacted them many times over the past few months to find out the status of our request. I finally got ahold of them today and they said they haven’t even starting our engineering and it would be 4-5 more months. They are attempting to expedite it just now since the house will be ready to move in the end of the month. The mere idea that it takes 9+ months to engineer a short gas pipe is ridiculous. Is there anyone at the City Council that we can sp
eak with about this considering PG&E is a regulated utility company that is not serving their purpose?

Thank you,
