Dear Finance & Audit Committee & Parks and Recreation Commission,

You are all no doubt aware of the Brown Act, the "floor" (not the ceiling)
for local government transparency. Not that you would, but please do not
reply all in any possible reply.

I'm writing because residents have raised concerns pertaining to the
running of the Burgess Park pool.

I
would appreciate your reviewing the posts and consider agendizing the topic
so that you can discuss the matter. I and others have suggested a
performance audit of Menlo Park's aquatics programs.

A performance audit would provide the City Council, City Management and the
public with independent and objective information regarding the economy,
efficiency and effectiveness of the city's aquatics programs.

Thank you for your service to Menlo Park.

Lynne
