Dear Mayor and Council Members,
The misleading and confusing signs at this triangle have been a
problem for a long time, but events in Dec. '07 were the last straw
for us.
Clark Pest Control gave lawn service to a house on Laurel St. instead
of ours. I found this out days later when I called Clark to inquire
why they hadn't come. Then two floral gifts went to a house on
Laurel instead of ours. Senders confirmed the deliveries but we
never received the flowers. The problems come from signs that direct
one to Pope St. when it is actually Laurel St. There are identical
house numbers on portions of both streets.
We called Public Works on 12-18-07, on 1-15-08 and again on 2-4-08. On Jan. 15 we were told the traffic section has been working on this issue for 4 years.
This isn't rocket science. We are willing to meet with the traffic section and any interested neighbors or parties to work out a solution. We do not want to wait 4 more years. Assistance from the council is respectfully requested.
Sincerely,
Nancy Hoffman
