Please agendize the issue of skyrocketing rent, displacement in Belle Haven

 Dear Mayor Ohtaki,

The continued displacement of our most vulnerable residents in Belle Haven
residents is heart-wrenching. After reading the attached article, see if
you don't agree that -- as civilized people living in a civilized city --
we can and must do more.

I've heard the Belle Haven residents speak out about the issue of
displacement for years now. This article puts even more of a "human face"
on those affected by Facebook's steadily growing (and now massive) presence
in our city. They have cried for help for years now. Can we please do
something NOW?

As a next step, would you consider agendizing this issue as soon as
possible?

Even if Facebook builds the 1,500 "affordable housing" apartments, we won't
see these for years to come. Even then, there is no guarantee that these
will go to anyone outside of Facebook employees.

Facebook's massive presence hasn't just created a traffic nightmare in the
Belle Haven/Willows area. It's created human misery to those in our
community with the least ability to withstand the misery. I urge you and
the City Council to ACT on this issue as soon as possible.
