MENLO PARK ART COMMISSION

From: domainremoved <Jim>

Honorable Mayor and Council Members:

Is it time to re-establish the Menlo Park Art Commission?

The Commission only needs to have interested citizens appointed to help accomplish some positive and exciting programs for the community. If they initially met quarterly, it would only require a minimum of staff time. What was once dormant can once again thrive, providing a variety of potential activities that could be meaningful, such as

    1) Dance

    2) Music

    3) Paintings

    4) Sculptures

    5) Murals

    6) Utility Box painting

    7) Poetry, and

    8) Literature.

This is the very reason why so many neighboring cities offer an active Art Commission for their citizens. "If not now - when; if not by you - whom?" I'd be happy to help, if needed.
