land use study for Dumbarton Rail corridor

Council Members,

This very useful study offer is an opportunity for Menlo Park. However, it should in no way prejudice or preclude the Rapid Transit rail option, as the citizens of Menlo Park have firmly and clearly requested; nor realistically can it preclude the insertion of some office space in lieu of housing, as office is reportedly at least if not more amenable to TOD and market forces may or may not make a mix preferable that far in the future.

These stipulations are not deal breakers unless there's a hidden agenda, in which case we'd better know any way. If we can achieve affordable housing and green affordable transportation on this corridor, we will make a small bit of history.
