No on library, please, for following reasons

Dear City Council,
Please make the financially responsible decision and vote no on the proposed new Alma library.
   - Though Arrillaga's extremely generous donation offer is tempting, it should not catapult a low/non-existing priority over many other greater needs in the city.
   - RR under crossings for car & pedestrian safety and traffic congestion
   - New downtown parking structure
   - Low cost housing for teachers, city employees, which would reduce some parking congestion
   - Address increasing congestion with various solutions. For example, more frequent shuttles and stops including high density housing, schools, government offices, large office buildings
   - If more city staff space needed, address it directly, but not under the umbrella of an improved library
Consider all public opinion as well the volume of citizen votes for each side, the importance (or lack of)a new downtown library in the city's priority list of projects, and the significant expense for an optional, or nice to have, project.
Thank you,Charles PreussMenlo Park Resident
