Re: FW: smoking and cigarette butts outside of Peets/Safeway on Middle Ave.

Terri,

Thanks for your message. I hope that this issue is addressed asap. Its unfortunate that its taken multiple messages on the part of a resident for this to be addressed. I responded to CSO Hilario because she replied to my original, March 7 message to cc.in.† Residents should not be expected to jump through multiple hoops in communicating with the City. The problem outside of Safeway/Peets is not new and has been brought to the attention of the City and Safeway on multiple occasions in the past. Its very frustrating to have it repeatedly occur, and to be told that it is being taken care of only to discover the opposite. Hopefully this is the last time it has to be reported.

Hello Heyward,

We will be following up with this complaint and ask if in the future you bypass sending your complaint directly to an employee.† In this instance, CSO Hilario is out of the Country and Sergeant Mackdanz away in training. In the future, perhaps the best way to advise us of issues is through the City website and the ACT Menlo Park.† From there we can make sure that no concerns fall by the wayside.† I am unsure if this is a private property matter but either way we will follow through and follow up with you.

Warmly,
