I am really sorry to hear that the Oasis is planning to close and hope that you will work with both the O and the landlords to try to sort this one out. You’ve claimed for years that what Menlo Park needs is “vibrancy”. Well, the O epitomizes vibrancy in this town. It’s where kids go to celebrate after finishing a sports season, neighbors walk there to grab a bite and meet up with friends, and everyone has a good time whether they know each other or not. There aren’t many places like this. The building itself is historic and deserves to be preserved as a landmark.

I have no idea what the current landlord is planning for this site other than great profits and personal gain, neither of which benefit anyone in this community. The Oasis should stay in business and the building should be preserved for future generations.
