Resident Parking Permit for Menlo Avenue

Hello All,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Megan Ianni and I recently moved to 937 Menlo Avenue in Menlo Park with my husband Bradford. We are expecting our first baby in July of this year.

We are having a problem with parking - our street has a 2 hour maximum time limit Monday-Saturday, so we cannot park in front of our own home during the day. When I am out on maternity leave, I will have to park my car 1-2 blocks away because of this time limit. Unfortunately our lease did not provide us with any non-street parking.

I have see that there are some residential daytime permits available for certain streets in the Menlo Park area. I would like to propose that as residents, we could purchase these as well for our street.

We love Menlo Park and so does my family - my grandparents (Helen & Howard Dallmar) lived here for 50+ years and I truly value the small town feel that Menlo has maintained over the years. I know that this parking ordinance has helped this, but I am hoping you can help us with this since we are residents.

I would be happy to come in and speak with any one of you or join a city council meeting. Please let me know what I can do to help.

Thank you!

Megan Ianni
