Enthusiastic Support for "Save The Guild"

Dear Menlo Park City Council,

Thank you for your service to the community and for considering the “Save The Guild” initiative proposed by the nonprofit Peninsula Arts Guild.

As a 14-year resident of Ladera (unincorporated Menlo Park) and someone who frequents Menlo Park businesses more than anywhere else on the peninsula, I certainly appreciate all that Menlo Park has to offer, including the incredible schools (my children have both gone through Las Lomitas and are currently at La Entrada).

I am writing in (and very excited) support of the possibility of music, community performing arts, and artistic culture in general coming to our locationally close Menlo Park community, and actually to the Peninsula in general. I would like to raise my kids with exposure to talented artists, community performing arts, in a venue that is appealing to the audience participants. I have seen the preliminary plans and this proposal, with trusted execution by the Peninsula Arts Guild, could greatly enrich our cultural lives in the Menlo Park community.

Please seriously consider this proposal, as I would hate for Menlo Park to lose out on this opportunity and am I am not sure it will come along again. The non-profit sponsors are proposing a unique, very special initiative for arts and Menlo Park asset, and I am confident that they will work with the Menlo Park City Council with the best interest of the Menlo Park community.

Best regards,

Eric Almgren
