Council Members-
I am a strong advocate for the El Camino Real Visioning process. I have a strong interest and desire to be a member of the committee but am not able to apply because of the restrictions you have place regarding mandatory attendance at meetings that have been scheduled in advance of appointing committee members. Because of prior professional commitments, I would not be able to attend a sufficient number of the already scheduled meetings.
Please reconsider this requirement. I suggest you form the committee with the best people you can find and then have the committee work to schedule the meetings. This committee needs to establish its work plan, with the consent of the Council, rather than being led through a pre-determined process.
