Over the past few years Menlo Park has been transformed from a quiet village community to a player in the booming world of technology. As technology companies come to the area they bring with them a mini international community. The time has come for Menlo Park to acknowledge these changes in the universal language of art.
The downtown area is a prime location for sculpture that could reflect the diversity of the community. An arts commission would be able to identify art that could highlight the multiple cultures that are now part of the town. Menlo Park has an amazingly talented group of citizens who surely would be honored to participate in such a challenge. This is the perfect time to assemble such a group and begin the process of adding art to the town.
