Child care and preschool as a Menlo Park priority

Dear Mayor Ohtaki, Members of the Menlo Park City Council, and sernior Planning Staff.

Attached please find a letter requesting that you add child care and preschool to the city’s priorities that are being discussed at the 1/29/18 meeting. The growing shortage of child care and preschool spaces in Menlo Park negatively effects children and families, as well as worsens the problems of affordability, traffic, and maintaining an adequate workforce.

Menlo Park has shown great leadership in this area and I encourage you to continue being a visible champion for children and families in your city.

Best.
David
