Proposed new library

Dear City Council members,

Menlo Park DOES NOT need a NEW  library.  Menlo's library is perfectly suitable as is. If it's not broken don't fix it. Bellehaven NEEDS the new library and facilities that go along with it.

If  Mr. Arrillaga wants to be a true philanthropist he can build a new library in Bellehaven as well as low income housing for the areas residents. (What I've heard is that many children in the Bellehaven neighborhood are homeless).

However, if Mr. Arrillaga is willing, I would not object to him fully funding a SMALL addition to the existing library in Menlo Park and an ADEQUATE addition for child care. What is needed the MOST is  housing for people who work here, but who can't afford to live here such as teachers, firefighters, servers, etc. However, this housing should NOT be built in the area that occupies the library or child care centers.

I am sick and tired of the city council spending my taxpayer money on expensive and unnecessary projects without my consent. Furthermore, this issue needs to be on the ballot.
