We who are interested in the Acorn proposal find it very interesting
that this is on the Planning Com. agenda,
this evening, one week before the Xmas weekend. With several reports
to digest, and little time to obtain them
if one misses the Friday release, how is it that the commissioners
have the time to digest the information, and
render valid judgements. Nor can the residents prepare their
statements in opposition with so little advance
information, much of it less than accurate. It is time that this
council bite the big bullet and request that all staff
reports and backup info be prepared at least one week prior to
any meeting that purports to be an approval
session for those proposals that are inherently questionable and that
require CHANGES. in zoning, use permits
and other "practices that are in opposition to current regulations or
codes". I doubt that I need to point out the
aberrations & errors that have occurred during the past 4 plus years.
