Regarding new library

Dear Members of the Menlo Park City Council,
I understand that you are considering building a new library in Menlo Park.
I was a resident of Linfield Oaks from 1995-2014.  Although I moved to San Mateo, I continue to visit the Menlo Park Library weekly, as I have been doing for over a decade.  (I have dinner and shop in downtown Menlo Park at the same time).

Quite simply, it's my favorite library on the peninsula, having tried the Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and San Mateo Library (which I live walking distance from).   The Menlo Park library is well organized, quiet, has an amazing staff, and is simply charming -- unlike the other libraries that noisier and have a more "corporate" and impersonal feel.
In my opinion, a new library is not needed.   My wish is that you preserve the current library in its present location (especially being near Caltrain, which is how I get there), doing any renovations needed in place.  And if you end up deciding to replace this library, I hope you'll create one with similar "neighborhood" ambiance and located near Caltrain.
Thanks for your consideration.Sincerely,Khalil Michael Dalal
