Streetlights on Alma st

My name is Ane and I live in Alma with Waverley St. I don't drive so I take the Caltrain to Palo Alto everyday and I walk home through Alma Street.
It is a very nice walk during daylight, but it gets scary after the sunset. At this time of the year, when the sun sets before 6pm, going back home from work it's a very unpleasant thing, especially for a woman.
There are almost no streetlights from the creek to Burgess park, and the ones that are on give almost no light. I don't like to walk in the sidewalk because in certain parts the cars going by can't see me because of the bushes (specially bad between Sherwood and Waverley) but walking next to the bike lane is also not safe because cars or bikes can't see me sometimes due to the very limited light in the street.
I would really appreciate if you could add streetlights and make sure there are not "blind spots" when walking in the sidewalk.
Menlo Park is a great place to live and it is not acceptable that neighbors who don't drive (or just want to walk) need to feel unsafe when walking home at night.

I hope you consider my suggestion. Thank you very much in advance,

Ane Arruabarrena
