New Menlo Park library????

I was shocked to hear serious proposals for a multi-tens of millions of dollars library project in Menlo Park.

Has anyone heard of the Internet? It has tens of thousands of times more reference books than the Menlo Park library will ever have.

Keep the current library. Add
More Internet stations and printers to the existing library. Let homeless people and residents if low means use the system.

Spend the remaining $20-$50M in improving access to the current library by solving the Willow Road traffic problem. Have any of you tried to drive Williw road East between 430-7pm on a regular basis (before the current construction)? Every member of Menlo Park city council should document via a google map gps trace that they have driven from Menlo Park city center to hwy 101 at least 10 times during school year weekdays from 430-7pm in the last 6 months. Otherwise your vote doesn't count.

Then I think you will all see your priorities change as to where those tens of millions need to be spent.
