Menlo Park Library/ Bell Haven Library

Dear Menlo Park City Council,

As a resident of Central Menlo Park and a teacher in Bell Haven, I would
like to see the Bell Haven Library prioritized for improvements, like
staying open regular hours and upgrading their facilities, over having the
perfectly good downtown library upgraded.

There are so many families who would make good use of that library,
including individuals like me. I would like to be able to take students to
the library for research purposes and give them access to a larger library
system we don't have at school. I would like to be able to suggest they go
to the library after school to get inspired for their latest project.
Everyone deserves to know the wonderful resource that libraries provide for
a community. That neighborhood is undergoing so much change with Facebook
and other developments- the need will only grow for a good neighborhood
branch.

Please change the course of the current conversation about upgrading the
Menlo Park Library to improving library access for residents of Bell Haven.
Thank you so much,

Marisa Still
