DEAR MAYOR AND COUNCIL ,MEMBERS.
AT THE COUNCIL MEETING NOV 14TH THE MASTER PLAN FOR THE BBPARK IS ON THE AGENDA. I SPEAK FOR MYSELF AND THE FRIENDS OF BBP. I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE HOURS THE STAFF HAVE SPENT ON THIS PLAN, AND FOR YOUR CAREFUL CONSIDERATION OF IT.

THE OVERWHELMING NEED IS FOR RANGER SUPERVISION OF THE PARK. A RANGER WOULD NOT ONLY SUPERVISE ,,,MAKING SURE REGULATIONS WERE ENFORCED BUT ALSO BE A PERSON TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PARK FROM PUBLIC USING IT.

I AM IN FAVOR OF THE RECOMMENDATIONS IN THE REPORT. I SUPORT THE SMALL OUTSIDE GATHERING PLACE FOR GROUPS. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE BENCHES .
I DO NOT SUPORT: AN OFF LEASH DOG PARK. THE KAYAK BOAT LAUNCH WOULD PRESNT ONGOING DIFFICULTIES DUE TO THE TIDES AFFECTING THE WATER LEVEL IN THE SLOUGH. MODEL GLIDERS COULD BE A SAFETY RISK, DISTURB BIRD AND OTHER WILD LIFE,AND INTERFERE WITH PARK USERS WHO ARE WALKING,HIKING OR BIKING IN THE PARK.

Menlo Park IS SQUEEZED BETWEEN FACEBOOK AND STANFORD . AS OUR COMMUNITY BECOMES MORE CONGESTED OPEN SPACE AVAILABLE FOR QUIET OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES:WALKING HIKING BIKING BIRDWATCHING PHOTOGRAPHY AND JUST EXPLORING WILL BECOME MORE AMD MORE VALUABLE. I HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO VALUE THE SPACE WE HAVE FOR PASSIVE RECREATION THAT CAN BE ENJOYED BY ALL,SENIORS, FAMILIES AND ESPECIALLY YOUNG PEOPLE

THANK YOU ANNE MOSER
