Planting trees

Dear Mayor and city council,
I am part of the Hillview environmental club, and I support the idea
of planting more trees in Menlo Park. Planting more trees would have
many positive effects for our city. It would give many simple
pleasures, like shade and beauty. It would give a richer environment
to the animals that live here. It would also help replace the many
trees lost in the fire in northern California. The roots will help
anchor the soil, so it doesn't wash away. Finally, it will improve the
air quality, because trees take in carbon dioxide, and let out oxygen.
I hope you consider this opportunity to improve our city.
