As a Stanford alumnus (I lived in Menlo Park while studying at the business
school 1994-96), and resident of Menlo Park for the last 15 years, I have a
simple request: "Stanford should at least be held to its own building
standards for the Stanford Middle Plaza Project."

I can think of no reason that Menlo Park should compromise simply because
the project is "over the road" from property owned by Stanford. I can only
think of reasons why this contradiction in principle concerning Stanford's
respect for the environment should be communicated to the decision makers at
