Council, it is about time that you all faced the facts. The facts are this about your "Pop up Park"...................you took roadway & Parking places from the City's inventory without due process, the former resulted in negative valuations for adjoining Commercial Properties, concurrently you negatively affected the nearby business', as customers changed their perception of the existing business in close to your "Pop up Park". I firmly believe that the City is in jeopardy of litigation risk from both Commercial and Private parties.
Now for the biggest risk.........by your actions in founding and supporting this park, you run the risk of providing a locale where Transients and children come in contact without parental supervision. I have observer the prime resident of the park conversing with children without a parent in sight. Maybe they were in Starbucks or Walgreens but NO PARENTS WERE ANYWHERETO BE SEEN! I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT WHILE THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS! Please return the area to the condition pre-green carpet and cheap furniture!
