Bike Lanes

I walk my dog downtown - Oak Grove and Santa Cruz every morning around 7:30 to 8:00 am. The drivers are mostly going too fast and don't stop at Oak Grove and University. I believe the students are suppose to turn at Crane which none of them do. They go up Oak Grove take a left at University and a right at Santa Cruz. The lane really narrows at the light on Santa Cruz and there are lot of cars. You should eliminate at least one parking spot on Santa Cruz to give them more room.

I really think there should be parent monitors to guide the students to turn at Crane. There should also be more police presence to get people to slow down and stop at stop lights.

My son always rode his bike from Sharon Heights to M-A until he could drive. I like the idea of kids biking but they need more protection from crazy drivers. I live on University Drive near Menlo School and cars are going too fast. Come walk with me someday at 7:45 with my dog and you can see for yourself.
