Crossing Middle at Neelon Park - dangerous

I read in the NextDoor site that yet another pedestrian almost got run over by a car speeding around others stopped at the crosswalk by Neelon Park on Middle.

This same thing happened to me a few months ago. Cars on both sides of the street stopped for me, but somebody from behind went around them and nearly hit me. I’m 66 and can’t skedaddle out of the way as fast as I used to. It was a close call.

I wish you would reduce the speed limit on Middle in general, definitely by the park with so many little children, and install a light of some kind at that pedestrian crossing. Somebody is going to get killed there sooner or later from the zoomers.

Let’s do something soon to protect people who are trying to get to and from this lovely park.

Thank you,
