Stanford El Camino Project

City Council:

As a resident of Menlo Park I would urge you to re-consider the public
benefit currently proposed to approve the development at El Camino.

A bike bridge at Middle is a complete waste of resources, have people walk
or ride a few extra blocks.

Please don't squander public resources in this way.

The fact that Stanford is going to tax public schools with this project and
cause the school district to seek additional funds from the residents of
Menlo Park to make up the difference is not acceptable.

As part of the public benefit Stanford should be made to provide funding
equal to the number of students using the public schools. If its zero they
contribute nothing, if its 50 kids they should make the schools whole.

You have the ability to make this requirement if the University is seeking
increased zoning. It is your responsibility to do so, anything less has
failed the residents and children of our community.
