fake lawn

For the record....I really dislike the patch of fake lawn near Starbucks in Menlo Park for these reasons:
1) It attracts homeless people
2) It is starting to look really ragged
3) It’s an eyesore to downtown Menlo Park
If it’s going to be permanent, which I hope not, please consider these changes to it.
1) Pave it with stone, brick, decorative cement or some other hard surface other than blacktop.
Perhaps you can commission artists or artistic children to create a design on the cement.
This will discourage homeless people from lying on the “lawn”.
2) Add tables, chairs and benches which would be permanently attached to the ground.
Make sure that the benches have a metal separator in the middle to prevent people
     from taking naps on them.
3) Add a “no smoking” sign.
4) Make it wheelchair accessible.
5) Add decorative low metal fences on both ends.
6) Bicycles should not be allowed inside, so add a bicycle rack on one end.
Thank you for considering these options.
