Santa Cruz Doesn't Need "No Parking" Signs

Dear Council Members,

Congratulations and thanks for getting the sidewalk project on Santa Cruz
Avenue done!

I have heard that the city intends to install "No Parking" signs embedded
in our brand new sidewalks on Santa Cruz. Please don't do this! They are
not needed and will interfere with the use of the sidewalks.

Very few people ever parked on Santa Cruz even before the sidewalks were
built. With the new curbs and striping, my perception is that there is
even less parking now. If signs are needed, please put them outside the
sidewalks. I expect if you paint the curbs red, no signs will be needed
anywhere.

Thanks,

Michael Doran
1258 Santa Cruz Avenue
